The food!

This couple of days past so fast between cycling (we sure know how to pose for a good foto 🤣!).
We tried our "new" used bikes that we've got from our friends Riccardo and Miriam ( thank you!the bikes are doing very well!)We did 16 km for our first trip. A bit of a sore ass, but they say it will pass 😀
For sure we have to move! Amelia's kitchen is full of delicious food that you can also try for yourself, because together with Vinicio and Sasha (their son),they run this lovely and cute restaurant in Lecce. It's called:
If you're in Lecce to sightsee, it's a mandatory dinner stop!!
Saturday was the local market day.Amelia took us shopping for veggies and fish all km0 produce. How is that for sustaining local farmers and fishermans!
We had to have a Caffe Leccese ( served on ice with almond syrup) and Pasticciotto! A staple pastry of this region filled with pastry cream and amarena.
You cannot resist!
Met Amelia's maestro ( she's learning how to make 🧺 ), a skill that sadly,slowly disappears.
and look what a handsome chap that I' ve found myself on the market 😉
Will stay here for few more days so Puglia's saga to be continued...
