Saturday Tourists
On Saturday we've decided to be typical tourists😀. Normally we try to avoid crowded places but since we were close to Rhetymno, which is the third largest Cretan city ( after Heraklion and Chania), we thought why not? Rhetymno is a cute destination,a typical portual town with plenty of cafes and narrow,romantic streets. We were curious by all Greeks drinking this ice coffee, so we decided to give it a try. It's kind of a cold cappuccino but made with Nescafé.Well... if you put sugar in it, it's almost drinkable🤣 From the sea we moved more inland to 500m altitude, to visit Arkadi Monastery.Really worth a visit as it's also an important symbol of Cretan revolution. We finished our day in ...Taverna!!! Souvlaki, Saganaki and viva Raki!!The owner was very nice and even offered us desserts on the house( they were so good that forgot about photos- Sorry!😁)
