Toscana- Bagni San Filippo
Did a long drive today but arrived at our destination in time to have a hot thermal bath!We parked a bit outside of the Bagni San Filippo and had an exploration walk. Terme San Filippo are the second free thermal baths well known in Italy, right after Saturnia. Seemed a little bit neglected though and the water wasn't hot enough. But we've discovered this lovely, wild spot that is runned by volunteers. Much more to our liking, it's an abandoned furnace site. The water was nice and hot, so you could have a long bath, the problem was when you had to get out 🥶 Unfortunately when we were walking back, the local police was hanging out a notice that this site is prohibited and it's not allowed to have a bath or even park here.We than discovered that the place is to be sold and turned into a private thermal establishment.
