Vjosa river valley

Vjosa river was one of the main reasons that attracted us to come and revisit Albania.
It's one of the last pristine rivers in Europe and recently been declared as a first wild river National Park. The landscape is breathtaking.
The main activity is obviously rafting. Unfortunately we've passed since i have no experience in kayak so it would have been to risky ( the right time will come!!).
We cycled and did trekking.
Meet lovely and kind people and tried to communicate in a mixture of languages and signs ๐Ÿ˜€.There aren't a lot of trekking routes and the signage is almost inexistent.I would say that there is still a lot to learn about managing National Park.We also visited the most known thermal baths in Albania - Benje and it was a mayhem.
A queue on the bridge and to get to the pool.
In comparison to few previous nights this was really disappointing. At least there weren't grill parties and loud music.
We have finally learned why outside of the Albanian houses you find this haunting looking plush animal toys hanging outside.Well it's to protect your household from the evil eye!
You can use it as a useful tip๐Ÿ˜€
