It was a great month, lost in Swedish lakes and forests.The weather was variable.Going north it got quite chilly, but the last week was sunny and beautiful.The forest offered us mushrooms and lots of blueberries 🫐 and cranberries.  We picked them by hand and filled the freezer but next time we will copy the Swedes and buy a special kind of picker that they got here. Walking in the forest is like walking on a soft moquette.  The mosquitos weren't that bad, everyone scared us saying they're unbearable but in the places that we've been to there was a tolerable amount. We spoke to a Swedish couple and they confirmed that July is the most busy summer month. In August the weather is variable and the children start school on the 15th so most of Swedes go back home. Yes! We have crossed the Arctic Circle line🙂It wasn't that magnificent as you think,cose didn't even noticed the sign but still it counts 👍.  Maybe it would be different with the snow and polar lights🤔. Surely the signs were there aka reindeers everywhere! Cute as a button but dumb as a doorknob🤣.  A bit like our wild hares in Italy,once on the road don't know how to get off and continue to run straight ahead! Finally got some decent fish for supper🙂. Love the road signs here but no moose to be seen😭.  Fortunately visited this lovely local shop runed by Sami (indigenous tribe of Lapponia)family and got us some moose steaks😉.There is less traffic however camper spots are often taken so yes there are a lot of campervans in Sweden, mostly German.  We are heading south now as it took us 2 weeks to get here, we still have to go back down to get the ferry. We passed last week moving around and chilling at one of the 10 thousand lakes. Sweden is huge! To get from south to north it's 1500 km and since we're not very fast it takes time. We can definitely feel the climate change here up north with max. 17°C. No sun these days so we start to feel a bit lethargic and sleepy 🥱. Got my autumn jacket on🙂. We found some porcinis and finally caught a fish!!! But we still have some serious fishing to do!!! We're not leaving without a salmon! 🤣. We've arrived in Sweden last Friday.The ferry from Poland (Świnoujście) to Trelleborg took around 7,5 hours. We were welcomed by rain, wind and sudden temperature drop. Max 18°C during the day and duve for the night. But I certainly prefer this to 38°C back home.🙂 The famous red houses! They are really as cute as you think! Fortunately the weather improved and in this days we finally took out our kayak to test. I have never tried kayak so Franco's patience was tested to the limits. Overall I think 🤔 I managed to understand theory and put it into practice. At least we didn't end in water and Franco managed to fish. We' ve spent few days in lake district in Poland - Mazury. The lake Śniardwy is the biggest lake in Poland but you can choose amongst two thousand other smaller lakes ( yes more than two thousand!!! 😲I didn't know that!).We finally made a proper camp, took out the chairs and the table which declared that this piece of land is ours for 3 days.  There were a lot of people for the weekend but we've managed to find a quiet spot. Everyone was in the water but since we're spoiled and used to clear waters we didn't feel brave enough to have a swim. We found this shells all over and discovered there are mussels in the lake, not edible though🥲. It's been few days since we finally crossed south east border of Poland. This time our welcoming party consisted of only one but very important friend 🙂. I have a confession to make. I don't know Poland at all. I left when I was 22 so don't actually remember what my country has to offer apart from Baltic sea ( where I am from) and Tatry mountains. So here's the reason that we've decided to first follow east side from south to north. It's a difficult time so yes, we've noticed increased army vehicle movement close to east border. Obviously the Ukrainian conflict is always on the back of each one's head but you don't feel any difference.  Our first stop was Magurski Park Narodowy ( National Park). I didn't know that this park existed. It's quite small but has a lot to offer.
