Sithonia
For Francos birthday we moved to Sithonia part and found this quiet beach not far away from Porto Koufu. We cycled to the nearest restaurant and got soaked in the rain but it was worth it!
There is a small increase in tourist numbers but still it's quiet and you can have a beach to yourself. For now we've seen more campers on the road than car hire cars. Think from the second week of May the weather is perfect to visit Greece.Last week was very lazy. We stayed at Marathias beach and divided our days between fishing and just normal everyday routine.
We moved today to this beautiful beach, Agridia beach. We will stay here till Sunday when we have to head back to Igoumenitsa to take the ferry home. This part of Sithonia is very nice.Sandy beaches, turquise waters and still the small town atmosphere in all villages. There is plenty of space for everyone and the big hotel chains are inexistent. Now let's hope the wind will stop so we can go for a dipπ.
Wow last few days at Agridia beach were a proper gift. Almost no one. When we arrived there was a friendly Austrian camper but they left the next morning, so now it's us only!! Occasionally we see some workers preparing the summer bar for the season. Funny thing is that reading the reviews from park4night app, this place is full of campers, tents and disco during the season but now it seems a perfect postcard holiday.
Franco couldn't wait to go fishing and check the seabed. There is an abundance of fish so we filled the freezer π.It was his lucky day!Now have to expand my fish recipes list.π
Cleaned the beach and filled the plastic bag, hopefully tomorrow the sea won't bring that much plastic. We can see in front of our eyes how the micro plastic creates. Let's all try to do something sometimes! It doesn't take much effort for each person to do a minimum.
